Kyle Mackie is a freelance photojournalist in his last semester at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism who is working on a portrait series of female-identifying and LGBTQ veterans in New York City. The portraits will be shot between Nov. 27 – Dec. 8 in the j-school studio, located at 219 West 40th Street.
He asks each veteran to bring with them an item that represents or reminds them of their service, and will conduct a brief phone interview prior to the shoot. In exchange for your time, you will receive your finished portraits after publication.
